I had to run into CVS today for a prescription and of course on my way to the counter, I had to check out all of the new on the end caps makeup wise. I see they are having a sale on Maybelline and L'Oreal that when you spend $15 on those brands you get $5.00 in Extra Rewards Bucks { works like cash at register } so I stopped to see if there was anything appealing.

I saw an entire display of Maybelline Baby Lips and since trying Baby Pores, and loving it, I thought this should be my next choice. Priced at $4.79 a tube I grabbed a tube of the Baby Lips Dr. Rescue and a tube of #25 Pink Punch.

Now according to the back of the card, the Dr. Rescue can be used for the pain associated with fever blisters or cold sores. Neither of the things I have ever suffered with. But on the Maybelline site, people have given it 3 out of 5 stars and have used it for extremely chapped lips. I wear lipstick, lip gloss, chap stick....something, all of the time so they usually don't get chapped.

I did open it and it's pink in color and does have a eucalyptus soft hardly there scent to it and a very light if any, taste. It does tingle a bit and felt good on. The back of this card recommended not using it more than three times a day.

The Baby Lips pink punch also has a soft pink color to it and feels wonderful on. I like that the color on looks so natural and sheer without any kind of a taste. This is a more sheer feel and not sticky or greasy and much different than chapstick. Love...love and a definite rebuy.

The Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush was a surprise to me. Priced at $7.79 for a small compact, here I thought it was this powder in a pretty pink color only to open it up and find a soft, puffy pillow like surface that you gently rub your finger over to apply to your cheeks. The color I bought is #40 Pink Plum and perfect for my lighter skin tone and extremely natural looking on. I also like that it's buildable color. I would rebuy this product as well.

Mahalo Maui | Bath & Body Works | Spring 2014 Destination Candle Review #bbwinsiders

One day last week I received my #bbwinsider candle from Bath and Body Works to review but I have been so busy taking down holiday items I never got a chance to burn it yet. And I wanted to be sure my review of it wasn't only a lift the lid and tell you it smelled nice... because it did... but an in depth with pictures 'here's what I think' kind of review. Thank you again Bath & Body Works for giving me the opportunity to review this and my opinion of this candle is mine alone, truthful and honest and not because I received this at no cost to me.

The website now has Mahalo Maui on it for sale and the notes are these:

Go an instant vacation with a blend inspired by our favorite Hawaiian island featuring notes of passion fruit, white flowers and a hint of soft musk. Let's luau!

This is definitely a tropical feel candle and for me the cold scent was as expected and nice. I began burning my candle at 10am this morning in a tall glass cylinder { my normal routine way of burning to eliminate fire hazards}.

The wicks were perfect and lit quickly and the wax pooled as it should in a matter of minutes.

I immediately started to smell fragrance in the room I was working in.

To me this smelled like simply, pineapples and coconuts. Very tropical and made me think of summertime, but I did notice a hint of smokey-ness. Not like a fireside candle where the scent was added but almost as if the wicks themselves were too hot and giving off an unpleasant smell along with the wax oils.

I burned it for two hours and as you can see the wax pool is perfect and the scent is strong with a very good throw. I smelled the fragrance all throughout my upstairs. The closer to the candle I got though I did smell that underlying unpleasant scent.

I do not cut the wicks when I burn, as I feel they take care of themselves and keep the wax melting correctly. They didn't get out of control and spark or do anything they should have. This candle burned perfectly, the scent carried and filled my home as it should.

If you love pineapple and coconut scented candles, you should definitely give Bath & Body Works Mahalo Maui a try.

Personally, I will continue to burn it to see if the smell I encountered was a one time only event or part of the candle itself and I will pass on any other purchases of this Mahalo Maui.

I got a few more pieces of new information I want to get posted before I forget.

As I posted a few days ago there is a new scent coming out for Valentines Day by Bath & Body Works called Mad About You and the #bbwinsiders will be getting a sample of it to try shortly and report our reviews.

There will be a preview in store to try for $4.00 so watch for it. I know you knew this, I just wanted it journaled.

The new Sweet Shop Hand soaps that are out...or coming out in stores shortly will be replaced February 23rd on the official release date with the NEW BOTTLE DESIGN.

The production was already going before the change in bottle design so don't be surprised to see them in the new shapes that we were shown on Black Friday with the Kitchen Lemon product.

I assumed when I posted the new pictures of the Diamond Shimmer Mists days ago that they had Diamond something in them. I was correct.

When the Sweet Shop line comes out there will be at least ONE adorable cupcake pocketbac holder...

These I am unsure of if there is a separate "theme" name for them. Three of them remind me of at first glance, Movie Theater goodies. And they don't match the Sweet Shop theme labels above so we can only see what name these may have when they are part of a floorset. The Strawberry Parfait may also belong to a dessert line or something. But I am including them here until we know for sure.
