After having lunch out with my husband at our favorite Chinese place, I wandered over to Michaels Craft Store and found the Christmas items are all now 80% off. Everything from things for your kitchen and food gift giving to home décor is priced to move. Of course, things start to look messy and tossed to the side as the store makes room from spring. And wow...are they ever. I have another blog coming with all of the new spring things they are stocking.
I managed to find some baskets to save for gifts next year and the prices were: $1.39, $1.99 and $2.79 for the largest. There were others available too, not just holiday themed. Picture doesn't show just how big they are.
As I came into the store they had off to the side a full display of their own arranged floral centerpieces and they too, were priced at 80% off the retail price. I could have bought ten as there were so many beautiful pieces to chose from, but I tried to pick one only that I could get the most for the great price of $17.99. {reg. priced at $129.99} I chose this long center piece because I can change out the main focus flowers for whatever colors my winter and holiday themes will be. And the candle holders accommodate both burning candle pillars as well as jars and battery operated pillars. I can change out the purple accents, add more neutral fruits if I want but having the base and attached candle holders and greens made it well worth the price.
