My quarter million mark
I never expected by August 21st, exactly three months later.... I would have had 100,000 views.
Never. Its incredible. I would see the daily counter register the numbers and I would check the back end to see just who is visiting me and where they are from and would wonder what is life inside your world.
And I would shake my head in a sort of disbelief that my little blog about lotions and potions and wax and nature would have people taking moments out of their day to see what I shared. Nothing fancy or special....just me and the things that I experience.
Here we are a few days past the four month mark and I am shaking my head again.
250,000+ views. A quarter of a million. In four months.
I am so grateful to all of you, you cannot know. Thank you so much for being a part of my life pages. {big hugs}

I don't know of anyone anymore who isn't affected in some way with Cancer....any kind of cancer. Either we have gone through the trials ourselves or we have friends who have had it.
This past weekend while out shopping, my husband and I met up with old friends/next door neighbors and we spent some time chatting. In the course of our conversation the husband casually asks did we know his wife has breast cancer. I could have fallen over. Now a few weeks ago I saw something in the paper about a local golf club having a benefit and she was the chairperson.....but in seeing the pic, I never put those two things together. I thought, knowing what a good heart she has...she was helping out. It was about five minutes later she had come into the store we were standing in chatting looking well...but of course very different. Seeing her brought my mothers battle back ten fold and all I could seem to do was hug her and try not to cry. I wouldn't dare cry, she was strong and positive and never once uttered a peep of negativity. From what her husband told us, her co workers all donated enough of their personal and vacation time to help her get through all that she needed time away from work to not jeopardize her job. Such generosity.
She was past the chemo and the mastectomy and now faces radiation. And with God's good graces and a lot of prayers and support from family and friends, I pray she gets completely healthy again. She has a daughter who was close to our daughters age so I know they have a lot on their plates.
And its funny...last week, my QVC Insider magazine came and since it is for the month of October, the first few pages were all about this great fundraiser they have done now for over 20 years... FFANY Shoes on Sale.... where different manufacturers donate shoes and the net proceeds go to benefit Breast Cancer Research and Education. And the first few pages are filled with "early" buys. The day of the live show sale, it is utter pandemonium to try to order so whenever I find a great shoe at a great price, I try to get some.
Today, three pairs that I had ordered arrived and are AWESOME. Casual and lightweight these sneakers are perfect....not only for me, but for my sisters too. The closer it gets to the actual show airing, Qvc will be offering daily deals and I will try to post as many shoe items numbers I find. These are available in three colors.
